Little C and I are headed to the Cape tomorrow for some time with my grandparents. I love a road trip with my girl. We'll stop in Boston for some adventuring on the way, and then generally lay really low for 2 days. My grandparent's house is in the woods on a small pond, and it is like a sanctuary of peace. Of course, it's only a very short drive from the beach, and we will spend hours hunting for treasures and getting some vitamin D. Maybe I will try walking a labryrinth in the sand (some people are so familiar with the labyrinth pattern, they can just walk the shape on a blank canvas like snow or sand!). I WILL enjoy some unstructured time with my girl, away from the responsibilties of home, and some time to myself hopefully too. Perhaps I will actually read a book... *sigh of delight*
I feel so blessed to have this retreat space in my life. Where do you go to regain your footing?
PS: I'm a little bit in love with the new Textures feature on Picnik! Can you tell?
PPS: This time away means that I am taking a NaBloPoMo break for a few days. Have a great weekend!
