leaves

Something miraculous has occurred in our life.  The leaves have arrived!  The last few weeks of warmer weather have brought swelling buds to the recently-naked limbs...Dsc_0199_2 Dsc_0206

...but just yesterday it seems, the buds have given way to fully-formed leaves!

The last few days our world has been transformed to a deep, lush green, and it is delightful!  Yesterday Little C and I were having our breakfast out on the porch, and we heard the wind rusting the leaves for the first time!  It was magical!

Beautiful photography as usual Caren!
I too have noticed the arrival of the leaves, all of a sudden our back woods is so lush! The black flies have also made themselves known this evening!

i find that i am drawn this time of year into parts of the woods that, in other parts of the 'green season', i do not wander through. something about the texture and suppleness of the new leaves - at once limp and radiantly strong, makes me want to be near them.

sometimes short notice works best: wanna do dinner tomorrow (sunday) evening at my place? zac and marianne are likely coming.

give me a call...

i can see why you love living there. gorgeous pictures!

Beautiful pics! I have also loved watching the arrival of spring in the neighbourhood where I live, which is full of trees.

Wow. What beautiful pictures! They make me look forward to returning home to New England.
